Quietly Existing
We are still here, chugging along in a carefree kind of way. Raising my two girls has been my priority, but my mind still makes plans for this business - they’re simmering on the back burner.
Our gardens have expanded, and so is our family. A third baby girl will be joining us in June. I keep telling myself I’ll jump back into everything River Girl, then I go and have another baby… Luckily, I know this place will always be here waiting for me.
The work in the garden is mostly for the kids now. They love helping me plant and water and pick…sometimes with a bit too much enthusiasm, but they’re learning to love the process of watching things grow.
To keep this business “running”, I’ve started up my Farmstand again. Our neighbors are lovely and supportive whenever we have it out! Sometimes we have a few folks drive from another area of town if I remember to post about it on Nextdoor. At the moment it’s just soaps and a few other nature based beauty products, but soon it will have bouquets and produce from the garden! At least until baby sister arrives.
We are getting ready to celebrate Mother’s Day around here, which means gift boxes are available in the store!
